The organizations responsible for New York’s statewide health information exchange network, known as the SHIN-NY, are losing no time leveraging the $45 million they received in funding in the state’s 2015-16 budget.
The network is coordinated by the New York eHealth Collaborative, designated by the state to coordinate the state network. The SHIN-NY will begin providing patient record lookup after July 1, says Monica Mahaffey, New York State Department of Health public affairs group director.
