NewYork-Presbyterian Rolls Out Digital Healthcare in Record Time

Internet Health Management reported on the “Digital Health Initiatives and Implementation at New York-Presbyterian” session at the 2016 Digital Health Conference. At the session, Dr. Peter Fleischut, Chief Innovation Office, told conference attendees about NYP OnDemand, a new telehealth initiative that enables patients, doctors, and other healthcare providers to perform a broader range of web-based healthcare transactions.

Since the launch in July, the digital healthcare service has logged about 1,100 visits. But more important and setting an example other hospitals and health systems can learn from, is the cooperation and advance planning that went into launching a system-wide digital healthcare program that employs 29,000 NewYork-Presbyterian workers and serves more than 2 million patients annually in just about 8 weeks.
